The Opportunity
Based at our Unanderra NSW site, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team. Our Unanderra site processes waste from medical, veterinarian and health care facilities. Our industrial equipment on site includes an autoclave, air pollution control systems, incinerator as well as various shredders and conveyers.
Your responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and implement maintenance and preventive maintenance activities across our facility
- Safely perform and coordinate breakdown repairs on industrial waste processing equipment
- Co-ordinate contractors where required for the repairs of equipment
- Ensure machinery used in production is consistently inspected and maintained
- Complete all records and paperwork accurately including isolation processes, as directed and required
- Take ownership of the maintenance and aspect of the site and machinery
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Trade qualifications as Fitter, with welding experience
- Open to completing some overtime (when required)
- Experience in fault finding with automated/computerised equipment
- The ability to work as part of a small team, but also independently
- A safety first approach
Due to the nature of this work, evidence of currency of vaccination or the willingness to receive defined vaccinations is essential. This will include Covid (2 shots minimum), Tetanus and Hepatitis A & B.
