Project Engineer

Kemps Creek | Full-time | Onsite

We’re on the hunt for a Project Engineer to join our team at Kemps Creek, working on a variety of small-scale infrastructure and remediation projects – with a strong focus on landfill operations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support the planning and delivery of landfill cell construction and remediation works, including capping systems, stormwater drainage, and leachate collection infrastructure.
• Review subcontractor documentation—such as Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), project management plans, and traffic management plans—and complete the onboarding process prior to commencement of works on site.
• Conduct site safety inspections, ensure all compliance documentation is completed and actioned, and oversee contractor performance to ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with landfill operations teams to ensure full compliance with EPA and site-specific regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient project execution.
• Manage and deliver small-scale projects safely, on time, and within budget.

What you bring to the table:

You’ll bring proven experience as a Project Engineer and while not essential, landfill experience is highly preferred given the nature of the projects Your understanding of how landfill sites operate will set you up for success in delivering works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

• Exposure to infrastructure or commercial construction is also highly regarded
• Practical knowledge of contractor management, budgeting, and onsite implementation
• A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and safety
• Stakeholder management experience
• Engineering qualifications
