The Opportunity
Based in either Melbourne or Sydney, the Commercial Business Partner (CBP) is responsible for providing commercial support to the Strategic Business Units and Regional Managers. Partnering with the package waste business, you will assist with achieving revenue and profit expectations by providing timely and accurate reporting, commercial insights and guiding Regional Managers through financial decision making.
Additionally, you will also be responsible for
- Providing commercial insight to support business growth, along with commercial governance
- Executing, planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- Assisting in the delivery of monthly results and the preparation of pricing models as required
- Guiding the accounting team to ensure month-end activities
- Working closely with the administration team to govern the quality of data across the business
- Analysing and reviewing cost analysis covering allocation, cost benefit, volume, profit, client profitability and life cycle analysis to improve the quality of earnings
This is a full time 12 months fixed term contract.
About you
We are looking for a well-rounded individual who is a self-starter and commercially driven. Your solid analytical, financial modelling skills, combined with your ability to build robust working relationships with operational teams, will provide the basis for your success in this role.
- Hold financial knowledge around consolidation of results, financial and management accounting, audit, taxation, and corporate financing.
- Working knowledge of business systems and processes to optimise and simplify business processes utilising technology.
- The ability to implement and maintain appropriate internal/financial controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting of a business.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial finance and business partnering within an operational environment.
- Highly experienced working with significant contracts, tenders and capital investment business cases.
- Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, pricing and costings.
