The Opportunity
Based out of our Erskine Park Transfer Station, we are seeking to add an Operator to our team. In this role you will operate a range of plant equipment (yellow gear) within the Erskine Park Transfer Station. You will be responsible for the safe receival and processing of materials via the operation of earthmoving equipment and undertake general labouring duties as required. There will also be elements of record keeping and paperwork required to ensure we are committed to our sustainability goals.
- Yellow Gear Operation throughout the Transfer Station
- General housekeeping and machine upkeeping
- Assisting other team members where required
- Contribute to toolboxes and drive safety improvements with the group
- Pre-start, maintenance and safety checks on all equipment
About You
You are an experienced Yellow Gear Operator with a passion for sustainability and resource recovery. With a proven track record of safe and effective operation, you demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to prioritizing safety in all practices.
- Excellent communication and the ability to demonstrate a professional manner
- 2-3yrs experience in operating Telehandler, Front End Loader, Excavator
- A professional presentation and manner with strong customer service ethic
- A strong commitment to safety; and a willingness to work as part of a team
- Previous experience in the waste industry is an advantage, but not essential
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
