The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Fleet Asset Manager, the Fleet Asset Lead is responsible for ensuring the effective inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of our light & heavy vehicles. This role plays a key part in supporting safety, compliance, and high levels of fleet availability across the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience managing fleet asset programs in transport, waste, or industrial services environments.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating vehicle builds and deployments across multi-site or field-based operations.
- Ability to develop vehicle specifications that meet operational needs and align with national fleet standards.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across operational, commercial, and procurement functions.
- Experience in capital planning, delivery scheduling, and monitoring asset performance.
- Deep understanding of the fleet asset lifecycle, including specification, procurement, commissioning, and disposal.
- Practical knowledge of build tracking processes and coordination with OEMs and body builders to ensure timely delivery and effective issue resolution.
- Experienced with asset data systems such as JDE and Coupa.
- A degree in logistics, engineering, or a related field is desirable; post-graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
