The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Senior FP&A Analyst to join Cleanaway’s Group Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Sitting within the Group FP&A function, this role plays an integral part in delivering Cleanaway’s financial planning and reporting processes, including forecast and monthly reporting. You’ll be responsible for preparing analysis, interpreting financial performance, and providing insights that support decision-making across Group and Corporate stakeholders. Further, you’ll be leading the KPI and Value Driver reporting process, including governance on metrics and reporting.
This is a hands-on role that would suit an experienced analyst who enjoys the structure of ASX and BAU cycles, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident working with financial systems and large data sets. You will work closely with other analysts, Corporate Finance, and business partners across the Strategic Business Units (SBUs). Key responsibilities:
- Support the forecasting and budgeting process, working with finance business partners to consolidate, review, and validate inputs.
- Supporting and developing our Key Performance Indicators and Value Drivers across our segments, including the reporting and governance framework.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly performance reporting, including actuals vs budget/forecast analysis for both Group, Segment and Corporate Functions.
- Assist with preparation of reporting packs and presentations for Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) and internal executive stakeholders.
- Work with Corporate Functions to track and report overhead performance, highlighting key drivers and variances.
- Driving the preparation of board reporting, including Board Insight Papers, along with ASX-related external reporting requirements.
- Collaborating with each Strategic Business Units (SBU) to support and align on performance and analysis requirements.
- Use tools such as TM1 (PAW/PAFE) and Power BI to extract, analyse and present data in a clear and meaningful way.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models, templates, and standardised reports.
- Collaborate with the wider Group FP&A team and SBUs to ensure alignment and clarity across financial deliverables and deadlines.
About you
- 8+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, management reporting, or similar commercial finance roles.
- Proven experience supporting BAU financial cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial data into clear insights.
- Proficiency in financial systems such as TM1 (PAW/PAFE), Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Experience working in a large, complex, or matrixed organisation – ASX-listed or similar preferred.
- Strong financial acumen, with an understanding of forecasting methodologies and value drivers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
