The Opportunity

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an exceptional Major Account Manager to join our Cleanaway Health strategic sales unit during this pivotal growth phase. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our national account's operations across Australia.

You will leverage the strength of our corporate National Accounts team and play a key role in driving business success through tailored solutions that meet our customers' needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities within the National Account sector.

  • Lead the acquisition of new business opportunities within Cleanaway Health's National Account category, including proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing national accounts by renewing contracts, conducting performance reviews, and engaging in strategic negotiations.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to design and implement strategies for customer retention, tender pricing adjustments, and high-level contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal National Account teams to ensure alignment and synergy across the national offering.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Drive margin optimisation in line with budgetary and strategic objectives, ensuring each account delivers positive financial outcomes.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record in managing complex client portfolios within a large ASX-listed or large-scale private organisation, particularly in a B2B sales and service environment. Strong negotiation skills and experience in commercial contract review are essential. This role demands exceptional time management, organisational capabilities, and a history of success in managing National Accounts.

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Major Account Management or a similar role.
  • Experience in Healthcare, Transport & Logistics, or a related sector is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Sales, Marketing, Management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing pitch documents, tender responses, quotes, and presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.
  • Knowledge of blue-chip markets, business partnering models, and vertical industries is advantageous.
  • A strong leader with a results-oriented mindset.
