Rehabilitation and Injury Management Officer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Rehabilitation and Injury Management Officer to join our high-performing team. This hands-on role will support our Rehabilitation and Injury Management Advisors with critical administration and case management responsibilities, while helping to deliver best practice outcomes in a self-insured environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide rehabilitation and return-to-work support for Cleanaway employees
  • Support the implementation of the business unit Employee Engagement Plan with the objective of continuously improving and adding value to our “good to great journey”
  • Collate and maintain all relevant claims information, ensuring timely and accurate communication with insurers in line with legislative, self-insurance, and company requirements
  • Assist with the management of rehabilitation case files, ensuring compliance with the SRC Act, Comcare Data Warehouse, and audit standards
  • Provide support for Early Intervention cases and non-work-related conditions
  • Deliver critical administrative support to the Rehabilitation and Injury Management Advisory team
  • Respond to business queries on Rehabilitation and Injury Management processes
  • Liaise with the business unit on pre-employment medical examinations, early intervention, and workers’ compensation claims
  • Support the optimisation of labour, employees, labour hire, and contractors by using available metrics and insights to develop plans and drive continuous improvement in cost and efficiency
  • Assist the Head of Rehabilitation and Workers’ Compensation and RIMA team in achieving cost-effective outcomes in relation to injured worker management and pre-employment medical processes
  • Contribute to financial outcomes by supporting achievement of individual Sales Revenue Budgets, Targets, and KPIs

 

About You

  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to a car
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees, managers, and service providers
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Experience providing rehabilitation and return-to-work support in line with legislative requirements (SRC Act)
  • Experience managing early intervention cases and supporting employees with non-work-related conditions
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with attention to detail
  • Degree in Allied Health (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, or related field)
