The Opportunity
Based in North Melbourne, the purpose of the Junior Systems Analyst is to create, analyse, document, test, improve, and streamline systems and business processes to support multi-faceted core operations for a municipal waste contract. You will be responsible for auditing, consolidating, analysing, transforming, visualizing, and presenting data to ensure transparency and shared understanding of business successes and improvement opportunities.
- Identify, analyse, and document business and user requirements for development of custom technical solutions.
- Identify, assess, test, and deploy functional solutions to enhance reporting and operations.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical problems and preventing escalations.
- Proactively identify and/or participate in continuous improvement business initiatives.
- Provide IT application support, continuous improvement and deliver updates to maintain Wastedge & associated solutions.
- Continuously improve and drive consistent practices, business processes and procedures to ensure applications support consistency.
- Develop reporting infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and review system training documents.
- Assist with training the team and provide ongoing support for the Wastedge system.
About You
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Wastedge for service management, integrations, automation, reporting, and security.
- Proven experience with Local Government and Telematics systems within the waste industry (CoMPASS, Salesforce, MTData and Intellitrac).
- Strong command of MS Power Platform Apps, including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Pages to develop and maintain curated systems and reports.
- Proven skills in MS Office 365 tools – especially MS Excel – for complex data analysis, ETL of large datasets, scripting, reporting, and automation.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and translation of business rules to technical requirements and vice versa.
- Strong foundation in programming and functional expression languages to develop and maintain automation procedures, complex data pipelining, and data visualization.
- Deep understanding of Jotform Premium to develop and maintain custom forms with complex conditional logic and integrations.
