Territory Manager – Hervey Bay to Cairns

We’re on the hunt for a confident, self-starting Territory Manager who knows the Hervey Bay region like the back of their hand. If you're a natural at building rapport, spotting opportunities, and closing the deal, this is your chance to make a real impact in a growing industry, with Australia’s leading waste management company.
About the role
Covering the territory from Hervey Bay through to Cairns, this is a client-facing, on-the-road role where you’ll be the face of Cleanaway, meeting with customers, creating tailored solutions, and helping drive sustainable waste outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities through outreach and face-to-face engagement
- Building strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients
- Developing strategic sales plans and delivering tailored waste solutions
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth and responsive customer experience
- Keeping your pipeline healthy and up-to-date in Salesforce
- Providing accurate forecasts and reporting to help steer business growth
What we’re looking for:
Someone who loves the thrill of hunting down new business, thrives on meeting new people, and enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative team. You’ll be backed by a strong network but have the independence to make your mark across your territory.
We’re after someone who is:
- A self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do
- Confident, engaging, and quick to build trust and rapport
- Commercially savvy and motivated to grow our presence in the market
- Experienced in B2B sales, business development or account management
- A strong communicator with a natural flair for negotiation
- Organised, results-driven, and comfortable working independently and loves collaborating with the team
- Holding a current driver’s licence and has access to a reliable vehicle
- Industry experience is a bonus, but not essential, we’re open to fresh perspectives
