The Opportunity
Our Industrial Services division is seeking a Health & Safety Business Partner – Lead to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. We are open to this role being based in VIC, NSW, or QLD.
In this role, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our safety culture across the business segment and geographical region. This is a 12-month fixed term contract based at St Marys NSW, with regular travel across multiple sites. You’ll partner with senior leaders and frontline teams, driving initiatives that ensure compliance with safety standards, legislation, and company requirements, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the delivery of our enterprise Health & Safety plan.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with business leaders to build health and safety capability, culture, and performance.
- Provide specialist advice on health and safety standards, legislation, and best practice.
- Support safety audits, assurance programs, and regulator interactions.
- Respond to safety incidents and drive initiatives that deliver improved outcomes.
- Execute enterprise safety strategy, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members and promote visible safety leadership.
- Ensure activities align with departmental budgets and organisational objectives.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a health and safety business partnering role, ideally in blue-collar/high-risk industries.
- Proven experience engaging multiple stakeholders and achieving outcomes in complex environments.
- Strong background in incident response, safety programs, and compliance.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
- Commercially astute, results driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Hands-on leader who demonstrates humility, accountability, and interpersonal savvy
