The Opportunity
As Australia’s leading provider of integrated waste solutions, we place sustainability at the heart of our operations. In this high-impact role, you will contribute to driving positive sustainability outcomes, playing a pivotal role in advancing Australia’s transition to a circular economy.
Reporting to the Group Sustainability and Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous enhancement of our data management processes for sustainability-related metrics across our entire operations. This newly created role will be critical in delivering our transition to reporting climate-related financial disclosures, working closely with the Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.
You will also play a key role in establishing new processes & governance, collecting and analysing data, reporting on ESG benchmarks, and managing climate risk and compliance frameworks. We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Data & Reporting Analyst to play a critical role in shaping our sustainability engagement agenda and ensuring transparent, credible reporting to our stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include:
- Support AASB S2 compliance and readiness, demonstrating sustainability performance improvement.
- Support financial quantification of climate risk and opportunity assessments.
- Develop, implement, and continually improve reporting systems for collecting, analysing, and managing sustainability data.
- Support internal and external sustainability engagement with customers, investors, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of the annual Sustainability Report and ESG data book.
- Monitor ESG benchmarks and sustainability metrics and targets, supporting sustainability assurance processes and system improvements.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability benchmarks and reporting frameworks, such as SASB, GRI, DJSI, and ASRS.
- Proven experience with data analysis and reporting tools, including Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and data management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement in reporting practices.
