Your new role: Operations Supervisor
We’re looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Darra! In this role, you’ll report to our Branch Manager and play a hands-on part in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll take the lead on a variety of responsibilities that are essential to our success and have the opportunity to make a real impact every day.
- Coordinating and scheduling day to day operations of drivers runs and weekly work schedule.
- Deliver driver debriefs, OHS reporting and incident management
- Lead Toolbox meetings to drive safety, communication and engagement.
- Partner with line management on setting and achieving operational targets.
- Lead high level of customer service within the team and with our internal and external stakeholders, investigate and resolve service issues
- Drive operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of all scopes of work with the aim to deliver exceptional service delivery
- Managing and preparing detailed reports on labor efficiencies and overall cost management
- Lead performance management investigations and outcomes
- Champion our “Safety First – Home Safe” culture through Time in Field Assessments, reviewing Critical Risk Assessment Management Plans and Job Hazard Analyses.
Your Skills and Experience
We’re looking for a motivated leader with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives in a team environment. While industry experience isn’t essential, the ability to connect with people and support drivers effectively will set you up for success.
What we’re looking for:
- HR Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in a supervisory role, ideally within logistics or transport
- Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to have difficult conversations and support a team of around 10 drivers
- Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation, with the ability to work independently and prioritise safety above all else
- Exposure to safety management systems, compliance, and fatigue management requirements
- Intermediate skills in Excel and Word
- Ideally some exposure to P&L/branch financials
- Resilient, confident, and able to back yourself in challenging situations
- Organised and comfortable running your own systems to keep operations on track
