The Opportunity
Based in Malaga, WA, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees and work activities to ensure that all operational tasks are completed safely and meet requirements.
- Oversight and management of business unit performance: Labour and disposal costs, individual/business unit KPI’s and individual performance management etc.
- Support and implement continuous improvement projects: Route optimisation, implementation of new procedures/in cab technology, continual team development etc.
- Ensure team members comply with legislative and internal policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment: fatigue/mass breach audits, vehicle inspections, site inspections, team training modules, employee onboarding etc
- Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maximise customer service and operational efficiencies: Complaint resolution, procedural changes, toolboxes etc.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a people-focused Supervisor with a transport & logistics background, excellent time management skills, and the ability to effectively manage timeframes.
- Industrial/employee relations legislation knowledge
- HS and environmental management systems and legislation
- HR licence is beneficial, but not essential
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Supervisory and teamwork, ideally within a unionized environment
- Transport/waste management/logistics and/or recycling industry background
