The Opportunity

Cleanaway is looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our vibrant Melbourne Sales Team, based at Dandenong, working within our sustainable fats-to-fuels business.
In this exciting and rewarding role, you’ll build meaningful partnerships with current customers and play a key part in expanding our footprint across the food services sector by identifying and securing new business opportunities within your assigned territory (Melbourne Metro - South and Southeast). If you thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and love building customer relationships, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive growth in our grease trap waste business while maintaining strong customer relationships
- Identify new opportunities across existing and emerging markets
- Collaborate with operations to create tailored, customer-focused solutions
- Provide feedback to continuously improve service delivery (technical, service, cost)
- Leverage the broader Cleanaway network to support customer needs across geographies and services
- Develop and execute call cycles and account strategies that align with business objectives and market conditions
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve customer queries and deliver exceptional service
About You
Driven by a passion for sales, you are a resilient and commercially savvy professional with the motivation to uncover and convert growth opportunities. With your strong influencing skills and ability to build trust, you will excel in driving current customer growth, new business and strengthening long-term partnerships in a competitive B2B environment. You’ll also bring:
- Knowledge and experience of the industrial waste market (advantageous)
- Proven experience in account management or business development
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills
- The ability to create customer solutions that deliver value and impact
- A proactive, self-driven approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing, margin, and profitability
