Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity

As our Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring all pre-start, post-run, and day-to-day operations tasks are carried out in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for coordinating and supervising operational activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimising operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supervise operations and be accountable for the performance of day-to-day operational activities.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate operations staff to maintain high-performance standards and promote a culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including customer service, and maintenance, to coordinate operational activities and resolve issues.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational optimization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies and procedures.

About You

  • Prior experience in a similar supervisory role within the waste or logistics industries is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation and comprehensive safety management systems.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
