The Opportunity
Based in Noosa, QLD, the Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of all fleet/equipment maintenance generally, but specifically responsible for the daily supervision of the vehicles and employees involved in the workshop.
- Lead the workshop and equipment functions through both internal resources and outsourced subcontractors to ensure appropriate systems and resources are in place to deliver reliable, cost-effective services
- Effectively communicate with the Branch Manager and operations team on the execution of the maintenance schedule and fleet and equipment availability
- Implement systems that ensure all Company property, equipment and machinery is kept up to the standard needed for safe and efficient operation, and that only qualified and authorised persons are carrying out installation, repairs, maintenance, servicing or modifications
- Effectively leads and communicates with workshop staff to ensure work/task plans are understood, and allocates resources to execute the plan, including third-party contractors.
- Provide administrative control by overseeing the JDE purchasing function for workshop activities
- Monitor and contribute to fleet and equipment compliance with Cleanaway standards
- Able to step up to Fleet Manager duties in their absence
About You
We're seeking a trade-qualified Workshop Supervisor with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
- Experience in leading and supervising fleet or equipment workshops
- Strong track record in safety leadership and performance
- Experience within the waste management or transport industry, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work within budgetary guidelines and computer literacy
- Background in heavy vehicle maintenance
- An HR licence is essential
