The Opportunity

Join Cleanaway and play a critical role in shaping the commercial performance of our Industrial Waste Services division.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Commercial Business Partner to work closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, enabling informed decision-making and supporting the delivery of Cleanaway’s strategic and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner proactively with operational and leadership teams to provide high-quality commercial advice and financial guidance.
• Deliver robust financial analysis, forecasting and performance reporting to support business units and executive decision-making.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights, challenge and recommendations to achieve financial targets.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risk and improve performance.
• Support the development and execution of commercial and financial strategies aligned to business and sustainability goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls and efficiencies.

About You

You have demonstrated experience in commercial financial modelling, cost analysis, performance metrics, contract management, P&L value drivers, and performance improvements.

You can influence sustainable financial performance through effective commercial decision-making and disciplined cost-management advice to branch managers, regional managers, and state managers, where you have strong business partnering skills. 

You hold a completed tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or business, and a CPA or CA accreditation. 

You have industry experience in oil and gas, mining, industrial services, or similar large, matrix-style, complex sectors.
