• $44.06 per hour+ super + potential over time

• Full time, permanent role based in Glendenning 

The Opportunity 

Based at our Glendenning branch, we are seeking an experienced, mature-minded leader to step into the role of Drivers Leading Hand. This position requires a suitably qualified and experienced HR Driver, ideally with a background in waste management or a similar service-based industry.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in scheduling and work allocation, demonstrate strong leadership capability, and be confident in having crucial conversations with staff when required.

As a Driver - Leading Hand, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and supporting a team of drivers, along with supporting our Operations Supervisor
• Setting rosters and coordinating driver runs
• Operating waste collection vehicles such as rear and side lift
• Ensuring all prestart checks are carried out and drivers depart depot on schedule
• Assist with training new drivers and supporting ongoing team development
• Completing all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required

About You 

• Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence as a minimum
• Experience in the waste, transport or logistics industry
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Solid understanding of safety and compliance procedures
• Basic computer and mobile technology skills
• Willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
