The Opportunity

Reporting into the Customer & Commercial function, this newly created role is responsible for establishing Cleanaway’s enterprise supply and demand forecasting capability.

What You Will Be Doing

• Establish and own the enterprise supply and demand forecasting framework used across the business
• Develop macro-to-micro forecasting models spanning enterprise, business unit, regional, branch and route levels
• Provide scenario modelling and forward-looking insights to inform pricing strategy, budgeting, re-forecasting and capital investment
• Challenge and escalate growth plans, pricing actions and CAPEX proposals where assumptions do not stack up
• Translate complex analytical outputs into decision-ready insights for GM and executive forums
• Uplift forecasting standards, governance and capability across a matrixed, multi-site organisation

About You

You are a highly analytical, commercially minded professional who thrives in complex, asset-driven environments. You are comfortable operating at enterprise scale while influencing decisions that impact network utilisation, investment and long-term value.

What You Bring

• Strong background in forecasting, economics, actuarial analysis, applied statistics or quantitative modelling
• Proven experience building and applying advanced forecasting models in large, complex organisations
• Hands-on capability with statistical and modelling tools such as Python, R, SPSS, Minitab, Power BI and advanced Excel
• Experience working in asset-intensive, network-constrained industries such as utilities, logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing or waste
• Confidence challenging assumptions and influencing senior commercial, operational and finance leaders
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insights that drive better business decisions

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in economics, actuarial studies, statistics, data science, business or a related discipline
• Experience working within a large, matrixed, asset-driven organisation is highly regarded
