The Opportunity

Join a safety-first team driving reliability, improvement and operational excellence.

We’re seeking an experienced Refinery Maintenance Supervisor to lead our on-site maintenance team and ensure the safe, efficient operation of our Rutherford re-refinery plant. Reporting to the Production Engineer, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with leadership, planning and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

  • Leading and developing a small team of tradespeople
  • Overseeing safe maintenance of refinery plant and equipment
  • Coordinating corrective and preventative maintenance activities
  • Planning and managing shutdowns
  • Sourcing, procuring and managing materials and equipment
  • Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with HSEQ policies, procedures and lifesaving rules
  • Monitoring maintenance expenditure and driving cost-saving initiatives
  • Delivering high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

 

About you

You’re an operational leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

What you bring:

  • Experience in a similar maintenance leadership position
  • Heavy industry background with a strong understanding of comparative safety standards
  • Knowledge of plant shutdown planning and execution
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance hands-on work with administration
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Confident communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A relevant trade or engineering qualification
