The Opportunity
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving customer retention, supporting targeted new business growth, and delivering commercial optimisation across a portfolio of strategic accounts.
This role focuses on building long-term partnerships, driving contract renewals, shaping pricing strategies, and delivering integrated, cross-service solutions.
This is an exciting, newly created position based in Brisbane, established to support the region’s growth and its unique operating environment.
The role requires a high level of travel, with responsibility for managing key accounts across Central and North Queensland, as well as the Northern Territory.
What You’ll Do
Customer & Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of key accounts across total waste management services
- Deliver retention, renewals and revenue growth against portfolio targets
Commercial & Financial Performance
- Develop and execute account plans to maximise revenue, margin and share of wallet
- Lead renewals, pricing strategies and commercial negotiations
- Prepare and manage quotes, tenders and proposals
Growth & Collaboration
- Identify and deliver cross-sell opportunities across service lines
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a unified customer proposition
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline and forecasting data
About You
You are an experienced Key Account Manager who thrives in complex environments and understands how to balance customer value with commercial outcomes.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing key or national accounts in a multi service or complex B2B environment
- Strong negotiation, relationship management and influencing capability
- Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen
- A consultative farmer style approach focused on retention and growth
- Strong stakeholder management across internal and external groups
- High discipline in CRM, reporting and account planning
Experience in FMCG, waste, environmental services, logistics, infrastructure or industrial services is highly regarded.
