The Opportunity

Based in Moomba, SA, this Health & Safety Business Partner role provides hands-on, field-based HSE support across ongoing Industrial Services activities within the Oil & Gas sector.
  
This role will support the delivery of the Health & Safety plan, initiatives and priorities, to build the capability of Health & Safety risk management and proactively progress compliance to regulatory and company standards within their area of operation.
  
This is a fly-in, fly-out position from Adelaide or Brisbane (2:2 roster), offering work-life balance and the opportunity to build a long-term career supporting a major Oil & Gas operation in SA.

  • Partner and influence business-critical roles on health and safety capability, and ways of working
  • Implement change and transformation programs for health and safety
  • Promote visible leadership by personally demonstrating safe behaviour and sound environmental stewardship at all times
  • Identify and report high-risk issues to the Site Manager and HSE Lead that may impact HSE compliance
  • Coordinate and assist with the development and implementation of risk assessments for work activities
  • Conduct and participate in site inspections to verify HSE compliance and support internal and external audits
  • Coordinate HSE incident investigations as required
  • Report on safety initiatives, performance metrics, and incidents
  • Conduct and coordinate site inductions for maintenance and turnaround personnel

About You

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar HSE role within the Oil & Gas industry, with an advanced understanding of WHS legislation and industry standards.

  • Demonstrable experience in progressing health and safety initiatives and programs to achieve required outcomes
  • Cert 4 or Diploma in OHS
  • Strong influencing abilities and the capability to work with a broad range of stakeholders
  •  Demonstrated ability to communicate across various levels and with external vendors and government agency representatives
  • Experience in facilitating Management of Change and Hazard Studies
  • ICAM experience desirable
