We’re growing and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Municipal Contract & Operations Manager to lead our collections contract across the Far North Queensland region.

This role is responsible for end‑to‑end municipal operations, contract performance, service delivery and stakeholder relationships across a large service area. You’ll lead a team, manage a purpose‑built fleet, and ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective waste and recycling collection services for the community.

What you’ll lead

• Day‑to‑day municipal collections operations
• Service delivery for waste, recycling, organics, bulk and public‑place collections
• Fleet utilisation and maintenance planning across 25 specialist vehicles
• Contract performance, KPIs, reporting and customer outcomes
• Safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong working relationships with council and internal stakeholders

What you bring

• Proven experience managing municipal or contract‑based operations
• Waste, transport, logistics or essential services background
• Strong leadership capability in a blue‑collar environment
• Commercial acumen with P&L accountability
• Ability to manage risk, performance and community‑facing service delivery
• A collaborative style, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
