The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Internal Communications Specialist to develop and execute impactful communication strategies across allocated organisational support services and business units. Acting as the primary communications partner to senior leaders, you will drive engagement, enhance the employee experience and ensure consistent, compelling internal messaging.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you will:

• Develop and execute integrated communication and engagement strategies aligned to business priorities.
• Create clear, compelling and authentic content for a range of channels.
• Act as the primary communications expert for allocated business units, partnering closely with senior leaders.
• Foster a culture of open communication, transparency and engagement.
• Support the strategic planning, development, implementation and adoption of internal communication strategies across operational business units.
• Gather insights, stories and feedback to shape engaging, authentic and impactful content.
• Create, edit and distribute engaging content across internal channels including email, intranet, internal engagement platforms, social media and website.
• Edit and proofread all communications to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with brand tone and messaging, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Play a key role in managing the design, transition and implementation of our new intranet platform..
• Support the management and adoption of our internal engagement platform.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs or related discipline regarded.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications, marketing or related roles.
• Proven experience delivering internal communication strategies in complex, multi-disciplinary organisations.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling capability.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and drive engagement.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions.
• Ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organisation.
• Proficiency in communications tools and platforms.
