The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist who thrives on strategic partnership, delivering high-quality content and bringing communication plans to life in large, complex organisations. We’re open to all locations across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. 

Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you’ll support a mix of business units, with a focus on engagement and employee experience. You’ll work closely with leaders and stakeholders to plan, create and deliver communication that resonates with our people.

This role is for a strategic thinking who enjoys being hands-on, spending time writing, shaping messages, coordinating campaigns and ensuring messaging lands effectively across all areas of our workforce. You’ll be involved in everything from day-to-day messaging to larger initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop clear, engaging content across a range of internal channels
• Partner with leaders and key stakeholders to develop and deliver effective communication plans across a range of activities, initiatives and larger scale projects
• Source stories, insights and feedback to improve communication and engagement
• Write, edit and publish content across internal channels (including email, intranet and internal engagement platform)
• Create communication that is clear, consistent and aligned with Cleanaway’s purpose, strategy and Guiding Principles
• Play a key role in the design, transition and improvement of our refreshed intranet
• Support the management, adoption and effective use of our internal engagement platform

 

About You

• Around 5+ years’ experience in internal communications, marketing or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
• Experience working in large, operational or multi-site organisations (highly regarded)
• Confidence partnering with stakeholders and advising on messaging
• A practical, delivery-focused approach with strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing attention to detail
• Experience with intranet or digital communication platforms is a plus
