The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for a Branch Manager to take charge of a close-knit team at Cleanaway’s Greenacre Resource Recovery site. With a team of over twenty staff, you’ll be fully responsible for the branch’s performance, including P&L management, people leadership, safety compliance, operational excellence, customer engagement, and commodity trading activities. You’ll lead from the front—coaching your team, streamlining processes, and making improvements that enhance productivity, safety, and profitability.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead, coach and develop frontline teams, including leading hands, to build capability and accountability.
  • Manage full P&L, driving revenue growth and maintaining margin through accurate pricing, quoting, and rebate management.
  • Engage with customers regularly, resolving issues and identifying improvements to enhance service and site performance.
  • Oversee daily operations, including weighbridge data checks, payroll accuracy, processing KPI review, toolbox talks, and workflow management.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, including contractor management, PO receipting, and reviewing contractor SWMS.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement changes that support efficiency, safety, and customer outcomes.
  • Oversee operations staff to maintain high-performance standards and promote a culture of safety and teamwork.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience leading operational teams within an industrial, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment is desirable.
  • Proven people leader with the ability to coach, develop and upskill operational teams.
  • Safety-focused, with experience managing contractors and compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable managing operational systems, reporting and workforce administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to resolving operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead toolbox talks, engage team members, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
