The Opportunity

As the Operations Supervisor at our Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) depot, you will manage and supervise afternoon shift operations, ensuring the facility runs efficiently from 1PM to 9PM.

You will be responsible for logistics coordination, resource allocation, and team leadership while ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards. This role offers the chance to lead a motivated team and contribute to our sustainable waste management goals.

  • Maximising customer service and operational efficiencies through effective supervision.
  • Providing leadership, ensuring workloads loads, scheduling, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Supervising and coordinating daily operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Driving operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of all scopes of work with the aim to deliver exceptional service delivery.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous supervisory experience within the waste management or manufacturing industries.

  • A strong production/manufacturing background
  • Proven experience managing and leading people
  • Hands-on equipment experience, ideally within an MRF or CDS production environment background
  • Experience coordinating and dealing with drivers
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation and safety management systems
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams in achieving operational objectives
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and a structured mindset
