The Opportunity
As we actively implement In-Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) across our fleet, we are seeking an experienced Control Room Team Leader to lead our Operators in our brand new, state-of-the-art Control Centre.
The Control Room will also be managing the Mobile Plant and Pedestrian Interaction (MPPI) technology fitted to our Yellow Gear Assets.
Our control room is currently based in Dandenong, with plans to relocate to the CBD later this year.
This role is responsible for mentoring, coaching and supervising Control Room Operators, overseeing high-risk event responses across our network, and ensuring compliance with Cleanaway Fleet safety standards.
Additionally, the role involves:
- Leading, coaching and supporting Control Room Operators
- Designing procedures and processes and supporting system improvements while driving a culture of safety, accuracy, and accountability.
- Overseeing timely and accurate event responses and escalations
- Providing decision support for complex and high-risk incidents
- Conducting performance reviews and managing shift resourcing
- Ensuring consistent processes across IVMS systems (EROAD)
- Supporting incident investigations and compliance reporting
About You
To be successful in this exciting role, you will have:
- Proven ability to perform autonomously and to take charge
- Proven team management experience, including coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong experience managing time-critical workflows and escalations
- An understanding of Heavy Vehicle Law (CoR) and fatigue compliance (desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with IVMS technology will be highly regarded.
