About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Melbourne by developing and expanding relationships with large, complex key accounts. This is a high-impact role focused on winning, growing, and retaining enterprise-level customers through a consultative, solutions-led approach.

Operating in a multi-service environment, you will partner with some of Victoria’s largest organisations to understand their operational challenges and deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that create long-term value. Beyond traditional sales, you will focus on building trusted executive-level relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and securing strategic partnerships that contribute to both customer success and business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to acquire and grow large key account customers across Melbourne
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, pricing, tenders, proposals, and contract execution
  • Create tailored, value-driven solutions that address complex customer challenges and deliver sustainable outcomes
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic account penetration, contract expansion, and cross-selling opportunities across multiple service lines

About You

You are a commercially astute Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning and growing large, strategic accounts. You thrive in complex B2B environments where success comes from understanding customer needs, navigating multiple stakeholders, and delivering long-term value.

You are naturally curious, highly driven, and skilled at developing relationships that lead to meaningful business outcomes.

Proven success driving growth within complex B2B environments by acquiring and expanding strategic key accounts, developing market opportunities, managing sales pipelines, and delivering consultative solutions that convert prospects into long-term partnerships.

Commercial & Negotiation Expertise

Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify and convert growth opportunities, lead complex negotiations, secure high-value contracts, and influence stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.

Industry Experience

Experience managing large corporate, enterprise, or national accounts within complex industries, with a proven ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and influence decision-making across organisational levels.

Stakeholder & Operational Excellence

Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, combined with strong account planning, pipeline forecasting, CRM discipline, and a results-driven focus on delivering sustainable long-term growth.
