About the Role - Territory Manager – Tasmania
We’re looking for a Territory Manager to take ownership of the entire Tasmania region. This role covers all of Tasmania, so whether you’re based in Hobart or Launceston, you’ll regularly travel across the state to build relationships and grow the territory.
This is a hybrid role combining account management and business development, offering the best of both worlds. You’ll inherit an existing portfolio of customers, with full responsibility for retaining and strengthening those relationships, while also re-engaging lapsed clients and winning new business to drive growth across Tasmania.
It’s an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, expanding Cleanaway’s footprint while delivering smart, sustainable waste solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your region like it’s your own, leading from the front and shaping its success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a statewide Tasmania territory, building strong relationships across Hobart, Launceston, and beyond.
- Retaining and growing your inherited portfolio, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Re-engaging former clients and identifying opportunities to bring them back on board.
- Driving new business development through face-to-face activity, growing your customer base across the state.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying opportunities to introduce sustainable and innovative waste solutions.
- Developing and executing strategic territory and sales plans to increase market share.
- Managing your pipeline, tracking activity, and maintaining accurate records using Salesforce.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a confident and driven sales professional who thrives in a role that blends account management with proactive business development. You enjoy being on the road, building relationships, and taking ownership of a broad territory.
You’ll also bring:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets, strong relationship management skills to retain, grow and re-engage customers, and a proactive approach to winning new business and identifying growth opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a statewide territory autonomously.
- Strong computer literacy and a clear understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate, up-to-date data in CRM systems, experience with Salesforce (or similar) is essential to effectively manage pipeline, activity, and customer insights.
- A current driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle (travel across Tasmania is essential).
- Resilience, initiative, and a positive, results-driven attitude.
