Exciting opportunity available at our Hobart MRF for an experienced leader ready to take the next step in a hands-on role. We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, brings strong leadership capability, and is passionate about driving team performance and continuous improvement on the ground. If you’re looking to make a real impact and lead from the front, this role is for you.
The Opportunity
- Lead by example running a team of 20 employees
- Run daily toolbox, VMB's and stretching sessions for your team
- Supervise and allocate tasks within the MRF and coordinate the sorting of recyclable goods
- Adjust processing technique or operation to ensure efficient and effective processing operation
- Perform maintenance and/or safety checks on equipment
- Provide relief on the sorting line as required
You ideally will be an experienced leader who
- Has a forklift licence and experience on a front end loader would be highly advantageous
- Strong work background - Waste would be amazing
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Experience in production line or process work
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
- Must be available for an early morning start
- Commitment to safety and willingness to work as part of a team
