The Opportunity

The Commercial Business Partner (CBP) plays a key role in supporting Strategic Business Units and Regional Managers. Partnering closely with our Oils and Technical Services teams across a range of metro and regional locations that might include QLD, NSW, VIC, and WA , you will help drive revenue growth and profitability through timely reporting, meaningful commercial insights, and informed financial decision-making.

In addition you will:

• Provide commercial insights that support business growth while ensuring strong governance
• Lead planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Support monthly reporting and develop pricing models as required
• Guide the accounting team to ensure smooth and accurate month-end processes
• Collaborate with administration teams to maintain high-quality, reliable data across the business
• Analyse costs across allocation, volume, profitability, and client lifecycle to enhance earnings quality

We welcome applications from candidates based in Melbourne or Brisbane. Please note that Brisbane-based applicants will be required to travel to Melbourne on a monthly basis.

 

About you

You are a commercially minded, self-driven professional with strong analytical capability and financial modelling expertise. Your ability to build effective relationships with operational teams will be key to your success.

• Strong financial knowledge across consolidation, financial and management accounting, audit, taxation, and corporate finance
• Proven ability to leverage systems and technology to optimise and simplify business processes
• Experience implementing and maintaining effective financial controls to ensure accurate reporting
• Demonstrated background in commercial finance and business partnering within operational environments
• Experience working with major contracts, tenders, and capital investment business cases
• Solid expertise in budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and cost analysis
