Transport Scheduler - Operations

  • Full-time opportunity working a Tuesday to Saturday Roster

Opportunity

Join us in supporting our key client accounts across multiple sites throughout the Roma region. As the Transport Scheduler, you'll play a critical role in coordinating waste collection and disposal services, ensuring customers receive safe, compliant and efficient solutions. Working closely with operations, drivers and customers, you'll manage daily schedules, allocate the right equipment for each job and help keep essential services running across regional Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule waste collection requests across approximately 15 sites, ensuring customer requests are actioned within agreed service timeframes.
  • Allocate the appropriate vehicles and equipment based on waste streams, including liquid and solid waste, while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
  • Liaise with drivers, workshop teams, disposal facilities and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient collection and disposal of waste.
  • Conduct occasional site visits to assess unusual or large-volume waste requirements and develop practical collection solutions.
  • Monitor job progress and completion, maintaining accurate records and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and without scheduling errors.

About You

  • Previous experience in scheduling, transport coordination, logistics or fleet operations.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the Roma region or the ability to quickly understand site locations and transport routes.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practical and technically minded identifying issues and proactively find solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to ask questions, and the ability to build effective relationships with customers, drivers and operational teams.
