Your Opportunity

Join Cleanaway's Carbon team in a specialist role focused on enterprise carbon reporting, emissions compliance, carbon credit optimisation and commercial value creation.

 

Reporting to the Head of Carbon, you will work across Sustainability, Engineering, Operations, Finance, IT & Data Analytics and external regulators to ensure accurate emissions reporting, robust assurance processes and optimisation of carbon credit outcomes.

 

  • Prepare monthly and annual Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reporting and ACCU calculations
  • Lead the ACCU application, issuance and audit processes across the business
  • Own assurance and auditing programs supporting NGERS, ACCUs, Safeguard and related compliance obligations
  • Implement and continuously improve Scope 3 reporting processes and reporting controls
  • Develop and enhance reporting systems, processes and documentation supporting NGERS and ASRS compliance
  • Deliver commercial insights through carbon analysis, scenario modelling and carbon credit optimisation activities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to translate carbon policy into practical commercial outcomes

 

About You

You bring strong technical carbon reporting expertise combined with the ability to influence stakeholders, improve processes and communicate complex information clearly.

 

  • 5+ years' experience in carbon accounting, decarbonisation, sustainability, waste or energy.
  • Demonstrated experience in carbon reporting within waste, landfill or circular economy environments, including NGER, ASRS, Scope 3 and ACCU methodologies, regulatory reporting, assurance requirements and policies.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and Power BI, with the ability to interpret complex emissions data.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical, operational and external stakeholders.
