About the Role

Ready to lead a fleet operation that keeps Australia moving? As Fleet & Logistics Manager, you’ll take ownership of one of the country’s largest and most complex fleets, driving innovation, safety, efficiency, and sustainability on a national scale.

Partnering with key business operational leaders, you’ll shape strategy, influence performance, and deliver meaningful improvements that strengthen service outcomes and long-term fleet capability. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational leaders to ensure fleet assets are safe, compliant, fit-for-purpose, and aligned to business and service delivery needs.
  • Drive fleet optimisation initiatives by improving asset utilisation, reducing downtime, and managing rental and substitution strategies to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Lead fleet compliance and governance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and effective management of asset onboarding, accreditation, and disposal processes.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Build & Delivery teams to deliver fleet solutions that meet operational requirements and support the successful integration of new vehicles and technologies.
  • Monitor fleet performance, costs, and reliability, working closely with maintenance teams and suppliers to identify improvement opportunities and enhance asset availability.
  • Provide trusted fleet expertise across the region, supporting tender submissions, coaching operational teams, managing risk, and contributing to continuous improvement and strategic fleet initiatives.

 

About You

You are a strategic and hands-on leader with experience in fleet, asset, or operations management. Known as a trusted advisor, you build strong relationships, collaborate across teams, and thrive on solving complex challenges. With strong commercial acumen and a practical approach, you balance operational performance, compliance, and service delivery while driving continuous improvement and positive change.

  • Experience managing large, mixed fleets (heavy vehicles, mobile plant, light vehicles).
  • Expertise in asset management, logistics, operations, or engineering.
  • Proven success improving fleet utilisation, workshop performance, and lifecycle outcomes.
  • Experience in regulated industries (waste, transport, mining, utilities, construction).
  • Knowledge of alternative fuels (EV, LNG, hydrogen, biofuels) and sustainability strategies.
  • Strong data and analytical capability, with confidence using Microsoft Office and fleet systems
  • Familiarity with DAMS/AMS/CMMS systems, telematics, and fleet analytics tools.
