The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to take the helm of a high-performing waste processing facility and make a tangible impact every day. As Branch Manager, you'll enjoy genuine autonomy and accountability, leading a critical operation with a clear mandate to champion safety, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

We are looking for a people-focused leader who thrives in complex industrial environments and knows how to bring out the best in their team. Your ability to inspire high performance, build strong stakeholder relationships, and balance safety, productivity, and commercial outcomes will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of safety and compliance through proactive initiatives, robust systems, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Ensure effective performance management, talent development, and succession planning to drive engagement, capability, and retention across operational teams.
  • Partner closely with Commercial and Finance teams to enhance data integrity, optimise processes, and support strategic market growth.
  • Oversee the operational and financial performance of the site including P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Monitor and manage operational expenses, implementing efficiency and cost‑reduction programs that increase profitability while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

 

About You

You are an inspired, solutions‑focused operational leader with a proven record of managing complex industrial operations. You balance day‑to‑day site leadership with a continuous improvement mindset, ensuring high levels of team engagement, compliance, safety and customer satisfaction.

We’re seeking someone with:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong operational management experience in liquid, material and hazardous waste collection or manufacturing or logistics operations.
  • Solid financial and commercial capability, including branch‑level P&L management and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • A proactive mindset, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a successful track record of implementing practical and effective operational improvements.
  • Hold a suitable qualification in chemistry, engineering, or equivalent experience in a heavy industrial operational or manufacturing environment.
