About the role
Keeping our Industrial Relations Compliance Team project portfolio moving — on time, on budget, and properly documented. We're looking for a PMO Coordinator to be the operational engine of that function.
This is a role for someone who takes genuine satisfaction in order. You'll be the person who knows where every document lives, which milestone is at risk, and what the status report actually says before anyone has to ask. You'll work alongside team specialists, support governance and reporting, and help shape the standards the PMO runs on.
What you'll be doing
Project coordination and planning
- Assist in developing project plans, including timelines, milestones and hold points.
- Coordinate project activities to keep them aligned with project goals and objectives
- Track progress and report status to project managers and stakeholders
- Support the team with project activities.
Documentation and governance
- Maintain PMO and project documentation, including plans, reports and governance correspondence
- Manage project files so everything is current, accurate and easy to find
- Prepare presentations, reports and other project materials
Communication and reporting
- Facilitate communication between project and team members.
- Prepare and distribute regular project updates and status reports
- Field enquiries about project activities and progress
Risk, issues and improvement
- Identify potential project risks and issues, and help support mitigation strategies
- Support the resolution of project problems as they arise
- Monitor project expenditure and support compliance with budget constraints
- Look for practical ways to improve how the PMO works
What you'll bring
- Experience in support, coordination or planning
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to run multiple tasks at once without dropping detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Proficiency with project management software and tools
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative approach — this role only works if people want to bring you into the loop
Experience in [waste management / infrastructure / industrial operations] or a comparable operational industry will put you in a strong position.
