The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a seasoned Operations Coordinator an opportunity to join our team in Willawong, Brisbane. In this role, you will support the operations team to ensure services are delivered as scheduled and contracted requirements are consistently met to a high standard.
Your success will be anchored in your communication and organisational skills, including people management, fostering a safety-first culture, and understanding transport and logistics operations. You will be a hands-on operational leader who enjoys working closely with drivers, customers, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day miscellaneous operational activities, liaising with operational and management staff to continuously improve service delivery, resolve issues, and evaluate new work opportunities.
- Conducting regular ride-alongs with drivers to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, reinforce safe work practices, and support service excellence.
- Undertaking site visits to complete risk assessments, ensure compliance with safety requirements, and proactively address customer service concerns or operational challenges.
- Booking repairs and coordinating maintenance activities for company assets, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and in good working condition.
- Completing data entry of run sheets, reporting, and various daily administrative activities with a high degree of accuracy.
- Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
About You
You'll bring a proactive, forward-thinking, and engaging demeanour with a genuine "can-do" attitude.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, draw meaningful conclusions, and implement practical solutions.
- Understanding of logistics operations, GPS navigation systems, and geographical route planning will be advantageous.
- Confidence working in the field, building relationships with drivers and customers, and addressing operational issues as they arise.
- Experience conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, or safety observations would be highly regarded.
- Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Intermediate IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
