The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Waste Coordinator to join our team supporting a major refinery site in Wagerup.
To assist with commuting and site requirements, the successful candidate will be provided with a company UTE and fuel card.
In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of onsite waste services, ensuring waste streams are compliant, operational requirements are met, and customer expectations are exceeded. You will act as the key point of contact for waste-related enquiries, coordinating services and maintaining strong relationships with site stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular bin audits and inspections across the refinery site
- Ensuring all waste bins and waste management activities comply with site and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with customers and site personnel regarding waste-related enquiries and service requests
- Raising and coordinating work orders for bin exchanges, removals and additional waste services
- Preparing and providing quotations for waste management services
- Monitoring waste streams and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records, reports and service documentation
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to site procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in waste management, facilities management, site services or a similar operational coordination role
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities
- Experience coordinating work orders, service requests or contractor activities
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
- A commitment to safety, compliance and environmental responsibility
Experience working within industrial, mining, refinery or heavy industry environments will be highly regarded.
