The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager for Cleanaway, your main responsibility will be driving new business activities. You’ll target small to medium businesses through door knocking, cold calling and presenting proposals. We are looking for a passionate “hunter” who excels in building relationships and closing deals to secure new clients in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conducting face-to-face new business development activities.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Driving our sustainable approach to waste management in new areas to support growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Maintaining your CRM (Salesforse) with client details and following up on leads.

About You

An energetic, confident go-getter who thrives on making sales and meeting new people. Whether advancing your sales career or bringing Business Development experience, your drive, ambition, and positive attitude are what matter most.

  • The ability to tailor your communication style to the different stakeholders and customers that you meet.
  • Proven "hunter" mentality with a track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and securing new business.
  • Solid prior experience in a high activity Business Development role within any industry
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively while being driven to achieve your sales targets
  • You are resilient, persistent and not afraid of rejection
  • Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with a Sales CRM is desirable.
