Job Responsibilities

• Understand completely the EPA licence to operate the landfill and all waste codes that can be received on site.
• Understand and operate compliantly to all Work Authorities
• Ensure the risk register is accurate at all times.
• Review and update procedures as required. 
• Work with Fleet to ensure all maintenance is completely according to Cleanaway’s standards
• Ensure all plant and machinery safety and safety checks on all equipment are completed, including pre-starts.
• Ensure appropriate amount of spray cover is available each day.
• Coordinate any required resources to complete projects within agreed timeframes
• Operate plant and equipment whilst maintaining housekeeping standards, tools and equipment
• Day to day, site supervision of team members to ensure work schedules, safety and quality standards are maintained
• Perform programmed maintenance as required
• Manage all sub-contractors onsite and ensure inductions are completed
• Communicate with local government and regulator agencies.
• Support the Branch Manager in completing tasks and filling in during leave periods.

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in a leading hand role
• Experience with the operation of loaders/excavators/ Bulldozer/Grader and Dump truck favourable.
• Excellent computer skills and data entry.
• An unrestricted HR licence preferred
• Forklift licence preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Waste industry experience is desired but not essential
• Good communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail, quality and safety
