Logistics Manager

Within our Industrial and Waste Services Division we provide total waste management business solutions to our clients including industrial cleaning services such as non-destructive digging, concrete demolition, high pressure water blasting, vacuum loading, shutdown services, pipe, drain and tank cleaning, emergency spills response and CCTV. 

About the Role:

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for logistics and a drive for excellence? Cleanaway is seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team. In this important role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our logistics operations, ensuring efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate staff, review routes for efficiency, process payroll, provide general support to drivers and the branch manager, and roll out toolboxes and policies, ensuring chain of responsibility.
  • Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, and fleet management, ensuring timely and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with Cleanaway's business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs)and identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
  • Manage logistics budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction.

About You:

  • Confidence in themselves and in the decisions, they make
  • Proven experience in logistics, preferably with a background in transport.
  • Strong team leadership abilities, with a focus on safety and performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
