Fleet Contracts Manager

The Opportunity

The Fleet Contract Manager will provide contract management support to operational business units around 3PL, subcontractor and owner driver agreements.  You will manage contract negotiation, meet monthly/quarterly with vendors, general transport, fleet related suppliers.

Additionally, you will also be responsible for.

  • Supporting the procurement planning, tendering and contract formation and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures
  • Reviewing contracting correspondence and providing advice on commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals and other contractual documents, as required
  • Facilitating and implementing the improvement of the supplier management framework, standards, guidelines, process workflows, tools, and templates
  • Ensure all vendors and 3PL are meeting their contractual obligations

 

About You

Detail driven, you are a capable communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative working environment and thrives in negotiating a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties.

Ideally candidates will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience within the transport and logistics sectors
  • The ability to lead, manage and influence stakeholders at various levels of an organisation
  • Proven contract management experience within project/program management, project governance and or project controls
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, commercial, legal, project management or a related discipline
  • An understanding of interaction between supplier / contract management and project or program administration requirements including financial management, cost control, risk management, quality management, time management, claims management including variation and EOTs
