The Opportunity
Your chance to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of Cleanaway. This pivotal role will see you leading the end-to-end bid process for high-value tenders, aligning with strategic objectives to drive EBIT growth and market leadership by generating revenue and building strong relationships.
Embedded within the sales team, you’ll provide strategic pipeline support and deliver winning, mutually beneficial bids. You’ll project manage the bid process, enabling sales leads to focus on solution development and implementation.
In this role, you will also:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance competitive tender strategies and responses.
- Ensure all tenders comply with legal, finance, insurance, and Delegation of Authority (DAL) requirements, while proactively managing risk.
- Regularly review the financial performance of tender outcomes, identifying trends and insights to inform future strategies and optimise EBIT.
- Coordinate post-submission clarifications and negotiations, maintaining compliance with governance standards.
- Lead post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage bid governance and gate review processes to ensure consistency and compliance.

- Strong knowledge of bid management methodologies, tools, and techniques—ideally within the industrial, government, construction, or commercial sectors.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders by communicating complex ideas with clarity and impact.
- Proven capability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, often within tight deadlines.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams (sales, commercial, and subject matter experts) in complex environments.
- Sharp analytical thinking, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
