About Us

Join us at Cleanaway and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together. We transform waste into resources and renewable energy.  When you start to think of waste as a resource, it opens a world of possibilities. As a high growth, ASX listed organisation with over 7500 employees, our goal is to be recognised by our customers as the most innovative and sustainable waste management company with industry leading HSE performance.  We are Australia’s largest company in this sector, providing essential services to millions of customers and communities nationally.

The Opportunity

As the Logistics Manager, you will lead one of Cleanaway Daniels' largest and most complex operations, based at the Silverwater facility. With two shifts running (day and afternoon), and a substantial fleet supporting major hospitals and healthcare providers, this facility plays a critical role in our national healthcare waste management network. Guided by our Values, your responsibilities will include:

Manage fleet safety and allocation systems and ensure all services are up to date.

Ensure all permits are kept up to date as required and that any maintenance, training, and other critical needs are being met.

Maximise fleet utilisation, fleet routing, and delivery schedules with truck drivers.

Apply continuous improvement methodologies for matters such as cost and improved transport.

Achievement of operational and financial key performance targets.

Build and lead a cohesive team of transport staff to ensure optimal performance and a proactive approach that consistently delivers high-performance outcomes to our clients.

About you:

You will have at least 5 years of transport experience in a management or supervision capacity.

Demonstrated technical and analytical ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from data to identify patterns or trends, test and verify the cause of the problem, and develop solutions to resolve the issues.

You will have demonstrated skills in relationship management coupled with a high level of communication, both written and verbal.

You lead from the front and have a track record of exceptional people management skills in building rapport, change strategies and setting the pace, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, people development, and performance management.

You are tech-savvy and can pick things up quickly, proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, CRM software, and GPS systems.
