The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Brisbane City Council Resource Recovery Innovation Alliance. In this pivotal role, you will manage annual asset management projects and help shape the long-term capital delivery program for the Council’s waste infrastructure. You’ll also contribute to identifying strategies that maximize the utilization of assets in line with circular economy principles.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead the scoping and end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects at the Council’s waste facilities.
- Develop and maintain a 10-year capital delivery program for key assets.
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget, aligned with approved programs of work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support infrastructure upgrades and future planning.
About You
You’re an experienced Project Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong grasp of infrastructure development and delivery in an industrial setting.
While not essential, experience in the waste management industry is highly desirable and will be advantageous in this role.
- Sound understanding of the design and construction of industrial infrastructure.
- Proven experience in working with varied stakeholder groups, including engineering/technical teams or consultants.
- Strong project management skills including cost forecasting, budget tracking, and reporting.
- The ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings for project planning and delivery.
