- Full-time Permanent role – Lucas Heights Landfill
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a number of skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join our team at Lucas Heights Landfill site. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with heavy machinery and keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment. Some of the responsibilities are as below.
- Operate machinery such as dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxys
- Perform tip face operations including waste placement and compaction
- Responsible for following plans and EPA guidelines
- Carry out daily cover operations, including the mixing and application of cover materials
- Conduct basic site maintenance and assist with light manual handling tasks when required
About You
- A valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency of at least two-three of the above (VOC, RII, etc.)
- Proven experience operating dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxy trucks
- Good understanding of safety and environmental compliance in a landfill or earthworks setting
- Ability to work well in a team and follow operational plans
- Previous experience in landfill operations or waste industry will be advantageous
- HR Licence will be beneficial
