About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Principal Catchment, Land and Heritage, you will manage a variety of strategic initiatives and projects that have potential to impact Seqwater operations at site and catchment scales. You will use your project management, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills to ensure effective representation of Seqwater interest in strategic projects and initiatives. With a focus on collaborative approaches, you will represent Seqwater with external stakeholders (including local, state, and federal government, traditional owners, and community groups), to significantly contribute to Seqwater’s social license to operate.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and project manage the representation of Seqwater interests in externally driven projects (e.g. Olympics, Reconciliation Frameworks, State led MOUs and agreement with third parties including First Nation parties) in a way that mitigates risks to Seqwater operations, complies with Seqwater standards and procedures, and maintains or improves Seqwater’s Social License to Operate.
  • Prepare business cases for identified projects contained within the unit plan, including negotiating resource commitments from across the business and developing innovative ways of working.
  • Develop and implement project plans, engagement strategies and management solutions to advance business objectives and coordinate input from subject matter experts, agencies and stakeholder groups as required.
  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively and negotiate with colleagues and other levels of government, industry, and non-government organisations to achieve outcomes and deliver on business priorities.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:  

  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and collaborative planning for the delivery of multistakeholder driven projects of a complex and cross-disciplinary nature.
  • Demonstrated strong stakeholder engagement, with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, with particular emphasis on consultation, advocacy, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and assertiveness.
  • Detailed experience in working in natural resource management including working with sensitive issues and stakeholders.

 

This position has a salary range of $113,473.64 - $123,457.70 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is initially offered as a 2 year contract.
