About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Senior Advisor Bulk Water Metering, you will work closely with various teams, in particular the Network Operations team to interpret the water grid reconfigurations in understanding and establishing if meter volumes are accurate. Daily, you will collect and analyse bulk water data to identify trends or data rectification or substitutions. This role interprets, improves and develops water balances, identifying risks and issues, and supports the implementation of such changes. The functions of this role are to facilitate billing data submissions and reporting, meeting end of month deadlines. This role will see you become an SME for billing and operational flow meters.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Collect and analyse bulk water data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Prepare detailed reports on metering system performance and water consumption on a regular basis.
  • Provide data rectification and substitutions, meeting compliance requirements.
  • Identify meter faults and coordinate maintenance investigations to support the rectification of flow meters and their supporting data.
  • Interpret improve and develop water balances, identify risks and issues, and support the implementation of such changes.
  • Support billing data submissions and reporting, meeting end of month deadlines.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in water metering, utilities or a related industry.
  • Experience applying exceptional judgement on analytical acumen to interpret data, make informed decisions and devise strategies to optimise accuracy.
  • Experience building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
  • Experience in operating water-related infrastructure (desirable).
  • Experience in end of month billing (desirable).
  • Experience using Power BI or alternative dashboarding (desirable).
  • Experience working with the South East Queensland water grid layout and operations (desirable).

 

This position has a salary range of $90,757.71 - $101,191.05 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
