About your opportunity

- Technical Specialist - Mechanical (Central Region - based at Mt Crosby)
- Technical Specialist - Mechanical (Northern Region - based at North Pine)
As a Technical Specialist, you will provide technical support in your specific discipline for the maintenance and project management teams in relation to the operation, maintenance, refurbishment and augmentation of assets, along with providing technical advice and support to the Maintenance Delivery teams, contractors and Regional Operations teams. You will also provide assistance and technical review of changes in Seqwater’s Management of Change (MoC) process.
- Review, scope and assist in development of Business cases and provide technical review of proposed projects.
- Be maintenance point of contact for all project delivery phases including assisting with commissioning and closeout.
- Provide technical support and advice and resolve complex technical issues by maintenance and project teams as required.
- Utilise advanced asset management tools/concepts, such as condition monitoring, in order to assess the condition of the assets and establish the most appropriate maintenance regime for the assets.
- Provide valuable maintenance input into the planning and design and new works by working with other groups to deliver best practise capital projects.
- Participate in system audits, and in the commission of new works and associated activities.
- Interrogate the plant control system where appropriate, to identify potential adverse trends in asset performance that may indicate a need for maintenance.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Associate Diploma in Engineering, or an appropriate mechanical trade qualification relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge regarding design and maintainability of assets with the ability to review specifications and project scopes.
- Possess a current "C" class Queensland Drivers Licence.
This position has a base salary range of $118,579 - $129,013 dependant on experience p.a. plus 12.75% superannuation. Shift and overtime allowances may also apply.
